@rishabh_grg More than throwing things in public, - find why you are not making progress (lethargy, not interested in the project, something else is more interesting…) - find an accountability partner (paying helps) who can help you untie some of these - find a peer in the path

At personal level, iron sharpens iron. The best way for talented people to be paid well is to work around other talented people. Increase your skill level and move to cities, companies that value that skill level.

At the countries level, if there is smaller decrease in productivity of its citizens, the GDP levels are going to drop substantially. Think of potholes, bureaucratic delays, cumbersome tax filings...all reduce the productivity of the citizens and reduce GDP that much.

Lessons for leaders: • Reduce number of tasks for a particual output • Invest in quality tools • Hire fantastic employees • Train them to play at their peak levels • Keep them

Bringing a high quality worker amidst a low-quality workers doesn't alter the final output much, unless quality of each worker improves. Most CEOs think of adding more junior resources under the guidance of a senior will propel the company forward. Mythical thinking.

Stated otherwise: • 2 mediocre chefs are not equivalent to 1 excellent chef • 2 mediocre test-suits are not equivalent to 1 excellent test-suite • 2 mediocre developers can't outperform 1 excellent one

It implies: Small decrease in skill decreases the output a lot Conversely: the more great workers a company already has, the more incremental value another great worker adds.

Imagine 10 workers working on 10 tasks; 1 per worker When all of them complete the task perfectly, the output quality is 10. The quality of output falls to 9.04 if each worker's quality falls to .99 The output quality drops to 3.49 if the quality of workers falls to .9! 😱

John Bogle pioneered index fund investing but invested in his son's active fund. We are a contradiction. We are emotional, not rational.

30 years back, we consumed less news; Probably we read for 10 - 30 min and that was the end of it. Today, we are constantly bombarded with news. That messes our happiness.

Time poverty is a unique form of poverty of the rich. If you have booked yourself from morning until the night in calls/meetings (like lawyers), you are rich but live in time poverty.

When so much of our identity is tied to making money, we continue to keep up with the score card even when we achieve so much

Happiness is not the goal; contentment is. Nobody is happy all the time; but we can be content. Contentment = things happened, but I came out good

Money is not a performance drug (making you a super human) but a vaccine (prevents diseases that make you invalid and bed ridden) Money may not give you more happiness but removes many areas of unhappiness.

Rationally, it makes sense to pay off highest debt Paying smallest debt boosts our ego and puts us in a path to close other debts Practical solutions beats rational solutions

Economists suggest rational solutions. Personal finance coaches (like @DaveRamsey) suggest practical solutions. Decisions are not made on excel; they are made on the dinner table. Practical solutions > Rational solutions

@madversity I hope you write an article or a blog post or at least a thread. I hv learned quite a bit from following you. But in this case I am conflated - wire editor filed a case. How will police prove the editor is a victim & not culprit? - if I throw mud on you & say sorry is it ok?

There has to be lose community of communities to support the families in this venture. As more nuclear / micro / gurukulam schools come up, the community will start to form. I hope the future of kids education is better.

In the age of "sovereign individuals", a school could be as small as 1 family; and as big as all families in a community or as variety as from across the globe

When run by community, you can increase on all the above 3 points. when you bring in mothers, you bring in "skin in the game".

Schools run as a business venture is ok; but like any business, - progress is measured on proxy (scores, attendance) not on what matters (ability to learn, creating & capturing value) - the real stakeholders (students) have no say (like b2b product sales) - none has skin in game
