AI/ML data tagging is the new BPO services. As more and more LLM models come in and generative AI takes the market, we will see more and more AI/ML data tagging demand. Either BPO companies will move into this space or new companies will come in 12/16

BFSI / Fin tech drives 55% of revenue. It is going to be the same in the future too. SMEs should find a way to get into this sector. If there is no subject matter expert in BFSI, offer horizontal services (cloud migration, app dev) to find a foothold and then expand. 11/16

Indian tech SMEs have deeper penetration in middle east markets (UAE & Saudi Arabia) than the larger counterparts Is it because of the founder network or the margins are too thin for larger companies? 10/16

Geographic focus areas are also interesting. • North America: Cloud, IoT, SaaS products • Europe: Digital banking, App dev, ERP/ERM • India: Low code/no code; GCCs subcontract Indian tech SMEs • Rest of APAC: Digital transformation, Enterprise service, content, devops 9/16

Generally innovation is linked only to tech. But company grows with innovation on all the aspects that the NASSCOM report mentions. They have to innovate on all these aspects. For that they need talent. Companies solve this conundrum with different innovative approaches. 7/16

To grow, SME will have to align all of these ducks, which is tough for an SME because of the negative flywheel. They can't innovate because they don't have talent They can't hire talent because they are not profitable They aren't profitable because they aren't innovative 6/16

Much like any other Indian industry, there are headwinds & tailwinds for tech SMEs. SMEs are founder-dependent for growth. So growth depends on founder's mindset. If the founder is relentless, has a growth mindset, hires best talent, that SME will grow. 4/16

I don't think people overcome the fear of failure. They just learn to control the factors they can control and experiment. I don't think I answered your questions. May be better we talk.

Document the decision and do it. Document factors you considered; outcome expected etc. And as the days progress you keep documenting about the experiment. Over the period, you'll learn to go even though you are afraid of failure.

Joseph Jude
Joseph Jude @jjude
In reply to @jjude

Minimize the loss of failure (combine with the above knowledge) and run the experiment. Some of these experiments can be short term & low impact (trying a new product) vs others being long term with high impact (marriage).

There are multiple reasons for 1 & 2; and lot of mitigating methods too - some under our control; some not. Identify what are under your control

I can only reply linearly but you have to connect the dots to grasp the idea and contextualize it for your situation We fail mostly because: • we don't have proper info • we didn't act • external events

@rishabh_grg It depends on the reasons for fear and how big an impact of the failure is; It needs a longer discussion (not twitter one) but here are my thoughts 👇

@LBacaj @NhialMa When you are not able to execute do you still connect with folks and grab ideas? Or so you pause networking until you sort out the ideas? I started meeting folks aggressively but realised I am only jotting notes and becoming a postman. For now pausing.

What strikes me is that there are countless opportunities around us – some known and others not so much - but often we stick to societal norms for earning money. Only when exposed to these different paths do we consider exploring them further to enrich our lives. 4/6

If you can remove jealousy from your life, so much you can get better in your life. Celebrate other's win. And soon you will start winning and other's will cheer you as you win.

Being married to an awesome spouse is a gift of God for your life. That is what the Bible says; and the poet Kanadasan wrote. That one factor alone will change your life for better.

@JohnathanBi How can we relate this to our current state of affairs? Many reject Michael Jackson's art because of his association with child abuse accusations; or many of the comedians are canceled during MeToo moments. Any thoughts @david_perell ?
