@vimoh They kinda do. That’s why they elected him rather than the one who brought educational revolution to the city / state.
@Memeghnad @peeleraja What I am afraid is republic tv, zee tv ... will use this material and have an hour long debate match :-)
@quizzicalguy are you sure you are not offending religious sentiments of a certain class of ppl? Who knows this might attract a FIR in Bihar?
@vimoh I am reading Alchemy by @rorysutherland which deals with this topic. You might enjoy it.
@SCVashishth @kumarmanish9 @aminali83 @Tara_Deshpande @SatyenGadhvi @FoodaholicsAMD Obviously they have not heard of “Cluetrain manifesto” especially these two: - markets are conversation - hyperlinks subvert authority
People differ about Quality, not because Quality is different, but because people are different in terms of experience. - Robert M. Pirsig, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry Into Values @michaelbolton @hnshah
@Abhishek_Rai This mentality is engraved in everyone. For the past 4 years, I have tried all my best to stop my team calling me ‘sir’. I even went to the level of threatening to collect 100 INR if they call me sir. Probably 2 people stopped calling me sir. :-(
@lameathon Heard good things about this movie. Adding to my “watchlist”
@goelabhi87 When are they available in India?
@Abhishek_Rai Not making this up. I was in school. dad took me to burma bazar in chennai to buy belt. Guy said like rs. 80 Dad asked for 40 Owner yelled Dad was abt to leave I can give for 60 No 30 50 20 Owner got mad. Said, yov (bad word) want free? I will get two last, got for 40 :-)
@Abhishek_Rai Is that by Claude C. Hopkins? Not yet @abhishek_rai. Will add to my list. Currently reading 'Alchemy' by @rorysutherland
@codelust any idea how to check this setting?
@ashwinmahesh how can politicians commit to reforms whose outcomes are universal (not just to their constituents) and are long term? That's what plagues India (probably others too)
Enjoyed this podcast. Lifts are the first autonomous vehicles :-) Never thought like that. Good one @BillBorrelle Thanks @sastrytumuluri for recommendation of @BlakeMichelleM podcast
@KyleTibbitts Overcast on iOS and PocketCast on Android
@Abhishek_Rai All of us are ignorant of many things: @anandmahindra
@kumar_shrek @shohinisengupta @Sallu_SH As I hurtled through space, one thought kept crossing my mind - every part of this rocket was supplied by the lowest bidder. ― John Glenn From NASA to Indian Gov to corporates, everyone go for cheaper rates. Issue should be something else - no jobs, no negotiation power ...
@shohinisengupta @Sallu_SH I think of this conversation between ex-yahoo cfo & Oxfam director at WEF: They both are right, but talk about different populace. It is true that ppl are taken out of poverty and also true that ppl are working in inhuman conditions.
@shohinisengupta @Sallu_SH I think we talk on only one side (the other side also talks about only one side). I have talked to young Ola/Uber drivers, who drive for 20 hours so they can earn as much money as possible. They do it on their own. If this is so broken, it would shut down on their own. Right?
@shohinisengupta @Sallu_SH Serious question, not troll, as I’m interested in this topic. What prevents these drivers, delivery boys to quit and find jobs elsewhere? Aren’t their situation better than in their villages? What keeps them in those shitty job, if it is?
@tarauk Thank god he didn’t say the world came to know of Tamizh only because he used it for a second in his speech.
@sastrytumuluri @ColinShaw_CX @RyanHamilton @BlakeMichelleM Thanks @sastrytumuluri. Adding these to my list.
@nutanc coz she spoke against their supreme leader
@cnha wasn’t housing that? Or you are thinking something more creative?
@nutanc you are already a hero in your own sense (of the SAAS products built out of HYD). But you could do a Churchill (History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it)
@madversity Python 2.3 or 3? ;-)
@Kamaladdict7 @satishacharya in his Anbe Sivam movie, he will hide the meaning of revolution in a painting he does for his villain. That's the thought process of this legend.
@Miister_H @brumbyoz When this question was put to Dr Annadurai, late TN CM, he answered: Why peacock is our national bird and not crow despite being in majority?
@CryptFyn @madversity You are right Ashish. China is already far ahead - both in terms of innovation and capital. Even whatever is left over will be destroyed by this incessant obsession of “one nation, one language”
@madversity You are forgetting Chinese. Before the UP walas know it, China would pull the rug out of Indian IT industry.
@vijayanands @CIC_Chennai Isn't that manufacturing needs larger investments and government approvals than software industry? I can start a s/w company with 4 ppl hence no labor, shop ... regulations. Not possible in manufacturing.
@tim_nolet Interesting Tim. Thanks for sharing. My experience is similar. I find front end hard and difficult to catch up too (too many tools to keep in mind at the same time)
@akashlomas when south India contributes higher tax revenues and higher foreign deposits and thus to economy why shouldn't a south Indian language a national language? India is an amalgamation of states.
@akashlomas @Vidyut @Memeghnad will ppl in north learn a south Indian language? If not, why force a south Indian to learn a north language? This debate is not new. Dr. Annadurai has answered almost every qstn regarding language debate ages ago.
@akashlomas isn't everyday Friday the 13th for you?
@Vidyut @Memeghnad what's your language policy? Will you promote regional languages or force one language on everyone? #altsarkarpc
@vijayanands Not in the same category. I have used Agarwal packers often whenever I moved cities. The team doesn't have team lead who boss around people. Everybody works. Just that one guy has responsibility to get the bill amount. I thot that is a smart way of working as a team
@sastrytumuluri Long answer needed. Short answers: - we are monkey see, monkey do types - we all like to be romans when in rome
@Memeghnad does AltGovt has a PS to PM?
@madversity while you are at ...ass, you should checkout why ass is the most complicated word in English:
@cnha I follow a three phased approach: Consume - books, talks, podcast, coaching etc to learn fundamentals Produce - create something; roll your sleeves and do something Engage - put it out and seek feedback More here:
@traviscchappell favorite is physical books. But usual is ebooks primarily via scribd, next is kindle.
@vimoh wake confused, walk confused, go to bed confused and in between confuse everybody. Seriously, that is the mark of successful consultant. 😉
@akashlomas @palboparai @AmitM2eets @rishabhgarian @Rajnish43360989 @IamLalitSingla 🤦♀️
@Dinesh_Sairam and that means?
The best thing you will see this weekend - musical by Microsoft interns Thank you @stevesi
@GrayCellTech @munishjauhar Congrats Munish for running ….well, both GrayCell and Marathon
@nbashaw Don't read, but study "Dabbawalas" who deliver lunch boxes across Mumbai. They have been in operation for 125 years. You will learn more about supply chain, logistics, commitment, and engagement from them than any other book can teach. Start from:
