@therealjpk What are the 2nd order impact of these?
@therealjpk Welcome to Chandigarh.
When faced with a decision or important situation, it’s helpful to examine your behavior through a 10-10-10 framework. How do you predict you’ll feel about your actions in 10 minutes, 10 days and 10 years?
Don't forget to subscribe to the Gravitas WINS channel:
That brings to the last tip: Learn to communicate, both writing and speaking. If you do these consistently, you will stand out from rest of the crowd. I talk about it in my latest video: #careerdevelopment
After fundamentals and finding a package: Your prospects and customers don't care what design patterns you use or what tools you use. They care what benefit they can reap. To convince them, you need to speak their language. So understand business fundamentals. #careertips
How to become a full-stack employee? Start with fundamentals. In s/w dev, it is syntax of the language, design patterns etc; In marketing it is defining audience, crafting story etc. #careertips
In fact, all employees should be able to work on a full-stack. What I mean? You should be able to develop an application, explain that to a customer, convince a prospect to sign-up for your service. #careerdevelopment
@jackerhack Haven’t installed the app coz of the privacy concerns. But I’m still framing my opinion. Have you read this piece: by Maciej (of Pinboard), a privacy advocate himself.
They do this every week. They understand the importance of habits. They talk about how to boost views for their channel and so on. I get to learn from them. It is interesting.
@jenalyson @mkobach It would be twitter for me. Only in twitter the signal to noise ration is extremely high. You get to interact with high quality thought. Here is how I learn from twitter:
@AnalectsTweet @Afroturrk Good luck. If you need any help would be happy to assist
@lukaszmagda @GoodMarketingHQ @mayurmagarr Yes would be interested how you keep records and specially pull up examples connected to each other.
@adi1391 Fantastic thread Aditya. I'm going to revisit and include some of the ideas from here.
@GetMoreDuncan @mkobach @jackbutcher One thing I learnt from @jackbutcher abt black and white images is playing within constraints. Once you get it, your velocity is higher and you focus on the idea and not on "putting lipstick"
@craigburgess Fantastic analysis Craig. Design says much in silence.
Many people think COVID-19 kills 1% of patients, and the rest get away with some flulike symptoms. But the story gets more complicated. Many people will be left with chronic kidney and heart problems.
@Talento90 @dagonzago Nowadays my go to stack is @nim_lang
@Jon_Blankenship Future is private social networks. I usually do everything you mention. Last week I posted, and shared in pvt slack groups like VV & SLW. I got the most traffic to the post because @orenellenbogen shared in his newsletter => Share in relevant slack grps
@Abhishek_Rai @RahulGandhi He is learning “Hyperlinks subvert authority” If mainstream media is against him, subvert them. Great going so far.
@sruthisagar @dhanyarajendran That’s because reporters have not questioned the government. Rather they question opposition or have sound match.
@LGutweter Can I know how you got to know about my post?
@channikhabra Learning @nim_lang. For a server guy and one who has troubles with Javascript, it has been fantastic. The ecosystem is not well developed. So you have to dig to find solutions. I'm enjoying it so far.
@LGutweter Thank you for including my article.
@raghusarangan @KeaganStokoe I have been blogging for 12 years. As you might already know, overnight success is overrated. If it helps, I blogged about my lessons here:
@raghusarangan @KeaganStokoe - Have a conversation. Imagine you are talking to a friend. Or you are talking to group. If it helps, record your talk as if you are talking to these people. It becomes easier to transcribe. Again having something on the page helps
@raghusarangan @KeaganStokoe - Choose the topics you are expert at or what you are learning. Make your points strong. Go deeper into it. Ex: Why you consider professional life as rat race? Is there a specific event that caused you to quit? What advice would you give to a 20 year old who is starting thir job
@raghusarangan @KeaganStokoe In addition to what @KeaganStokoe said, what helped me: - Have a scrap book where you note down ideas, short sentences, references as you read other articles / books. When you start an article, you should compose from this. Hardest part of writing is blank page
@bk_moore @david_perell I started to be part of sales when I became a CTO. Here is how I learned and continuing to learn:
@DocHolliday_13 @JamesClear Absolutely. This is what I started teaching my kid (10 yrs). “Not yet” When this covid locked down started, he didn’t know how to rope jump. When he started learning, he would get frustrated. I taught him to say “not yet.” Now he is able to jump rope and he repeats “not yet” ;-)
@JamesClear @DruRly From “waiting for certainties and losing opportunities” to “gain momentum with approximately correct approach” More here:
@deniz_okcu Sorry @deniz_okcu, I haven't updated for long. It uses older version. The book is not updated for at least 2 years now.
@LHitch09 Delivery = physical items delivery or IT software delivery?
@stephenstanwood @david_perell I still don’t understand. What is your interpretation? Is there a layman English version? ;-)
@bepsays @mikerubini @GoHugoIO If blog is just dissipation of information then static makes sense. If you consider it as lead magnet, sales tool, and so on there is nothing to beat the ecosystem of Wordpress and easiness. Wordpress is insecure is a myth. Context matters. Hammer is not the solution for all.
@APompliano Have a strong anchor: by @BrunoMahomes_
@mikerubini If it is a non-tech company and / or don't want to spend time on tech but only on building their business yes. If they are a tech company and want to tinker around as a proof of internal competency then may be others like @GoHugoIO is a choice.
@KeaganStokoe @david_perell Please share
@WoleAtunbi @unicodeveloper @sinzubaba @naval Correlation is not causation. Them coming from India doesn't matter. As @sinzubaba says may be it has to do with them in investing helps them to analyse well. I have seen this true across the globe.
@AurelienVautier @visualizevalue not trying substack?
@atalduwaisan Same here @atalduwaisan. I've managed to put up a landing page though:
@AurelienVautier @visualizevalue Awesome Aurélien. Where do you publish these illustrations? Only on Twitter?
@lukechesser Do you see these in the desktop app or on the webapp? I don't see this option in neither of these.
