Innovate Startups have this "bundling & unbundling". You can use that as a writer. Whenever you read a great article, unbundle it into different article on your own; Same way, assemble an article from different sources.

@deepakshenoy This is true even within India. Many of the "immigrants" to city do well because there is hunger to prove them; more opportunities; etc. True of folks moving from north to south; or south to north etc.

High prices is not the reason why we are all not living in beach-front houses and driving fancy sports car. It is because demand exceeds supply. There are not nearly enough beach-front houses & fancy sports cars. Prices convey the underlying reality

Prices determine the allocation of resources and how the resulting products are distributed to millions of people.

Life doesn't ask us what we want. It presents us with options. Economics is one of the ways of trying to make the most of those options.

Economic decisions are not only abt money. When a military medical team arrive on a battlefield where soldiers have variety of wounds, they hv to make an economic decision of allocating scarce resources (medicines, nurses, docs) which have alternate uses. (Same in Covid)

Availability of resources doesn't determine wealth of a nation. But how the resources (land, capital, natural) are allocated to produce the volume of goods & services.

Economics is the study of the use of scarce resources which have alternate uses - Lionel Robbins Regardless of policies, there is simply not enough to go around to satisfy all our desires to the fullest. Means, capitalism, socialism etc are diff ways of making trade-offs.

@SejalSud He wrote the book that tech companies used to get us hooked. Now he is telling us, oh you are all hooked. He is making money writing on both sides of the argument. Smart fellow.

@divanshuarora Thanks. I don't see the spaces button in the middle on my iphone app. Is possible that it is visible only to select people - who attend spaces / who host spaces etc?

@aurasky_ We need to learn to work within the structures we create for ourselves and know when to explore beyond that. Otherwise we become slaves to our structures

@prla Generally (at least in Indian context), devs have not been mgmt; most mgrs have been devs. So it is upto mgrs to show empathy to devs. It is not possible for devs to understand point of view of mgmt. But I'm also surprised how little empathy mgrs show to devs.

@Kamphey Trust is a hard thing to build and easy to ruin. There is only a certain ceiling to which you can raise prices without concomitant increase in value. If you say, hey I added 10 more hours of video and hence price is double, but you get it at a 50% discount, yes I trust you.

@cnha Isn't this like investing in automated cars instead of building roads and fixing public transport? Instead of teaching kids what is needed for life & for building career rather than pushing parents & kids on never ending competitive treadmill of obselete education? @malpani

@DILIPtheCHERIAN @sruthijith @khanumarfa @ArunSudhaman Plus, India's broadband is not stable & reliable. Ex: I have high bandwidth Airtel fiber in Panchkula. But this year twice it went off for 50 hours (yes 50). Even when it is operational, it will go off for few seconds every hour. How can we have regular ops with such infra?

Joseph Jude

In reply to @DILIPtheCHERIAN

@DILIPtheCHERIAN @sruthijith @khanumarfa @ArunSudhaman Dilip: Most of Indian IT companies are not product companies but service companies. Service companies have to operate acc to their client's demands. When clients demand data theft protection, you can't do that remotely (at least fully as in on-prem)
