If Indians of yesteryear (freedom struggle) weren't self-confident, they wouldn't have thought they could govern themselves. They were confident that they can throw away the shackles of foreign powers and create a state they can be proud of.
@pankaj013 @paraschopra If I may abstract what you are saying Pankaj: learn to put in a setup to run experiments which means • identifying promising opportunities • framing hypothesis • identifying quick way to validate hypothesis • conducting retros • adjusting accordingly This is what kids shud…
@EchoPhotoPh @logseq @obsdmd Thank you both for the recommendation and sharing your use cases. Will check it out.
@_zenman Same here (probably using it close to 10 years now). It has become muscle memory now. All my notes, articles, clippings are all in md format. I can diff, change in bulk etc.
@pankaj013 @SandeepMall Same here. But now I can use cold DM on LinkedIn ;-)
@tnvora and it is addictive. Now I can't stop writing. Everyday looking for some opportunity to write on paper with pen.
@udmxyz @SandeepMall Thank you for your recommendation. Will look into the book and decide.
@pascallaliberte Is there an explanation of concave & convex risks? Taleb also uses a lot of these defn. I skip those since I don't understand
I like @buffer because only Buffer has a decent mobile app (not PWA) which can be used to schedule tweets (in addition to other social medias too)
@SathyaHQ Good to hear that Sathya. I know what you went through and so this makes it even more sweet. When I visit Blr next, let us try to meet and celebrate
@_zenman great news buddy; congrats
@aakash_rewari Will try this if not for anything at least for Napoleon movie
@shreyas11614691 My experience in land registrar office and RTO offices tells me it is not corrupt-free
@_zenman Good to read that. Though I'm not in the target market, I was surprised to see how well the output was for the twitter bio generator. Good work Manish (would love to talk to you about this)
@SathyaHQ it is
@_zenman I have gone back and forth on this. Still don't have a clear answer - if it is "social" media, shouldn't we talk everything - "politics, religion, language" that we talk in social circles. On the other hand, I usually unfollow if most tweets are unrelated to why I followed a…
@bespokespeeches I counted lot of "rule of three" there in that tea talk.
@prla The way I see it: I use books to learn established ideas; podcast for new and emerging ideas.
@akshansh_777 @shreyas11614691 This is what Will Durant says in "The Lessons of History" The ability of people differ and majority of abilities are gathered in minority of masses. So wealth concentrates in minorities (leading to monopolies). Otherwise called "The Mathew Effect":
@pankaj013 Thank you Pankaj
@nixcraft We are basically rent-seekers
@divanshuarora Thank you Divanshu
@DeepakNesss Was looking forward to this. Even if you don’t make the tool would you explain what you expected and what you got with few examples?
@thallukrish @Kashish__Kumar_ not just IAS; also political leadership. Often IAS & other bureaucrats become easy scapegoats
@thallukrish @Kashish__Kumar_ because we don't hold them accountable? we need detailed analysis like these happened in the US for obama care:
@Kashish__Kumar_ Those who formulate those policies can't cater to all those nuances. or can't understand those nuances or don't have skin-in-the-game (I have sat through such policy discussions & hv listened to standing committee presentations)
@sivajisahoo @sajithpai Those who form policies are mostly generalist and those who don't have direct skin in the game. They don't understand the difference between enabling & gate-keeping. And someone's gate-keeping is another one's enabling. (I have sat through such policy discussions & hv listened…
@HarveyS34481560 @AravSrinivas The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help. - Ronald Reagan
@BaliBoy96043040 @RenOfMen Came to say the same thing. Easy to be a liberal in an AC room.
@_DailyObserver We are rent-seekers basically
@_zenman As always shoot first, think later. Who are “small companies”? WhatsApp had only 50 employees when it was sold to FB
@SathyaHQ Possible. But check the from email. Time to time hackers send such an email with a link to change password but actually to steal passwords. Enable 2FA and keep a random password than something guessable.
There is a huge gap to cross between PoC to product. PoC is much like a simple happy-path journey Product has to take care of all edge cases Even for a simple MVP, this gap is astounding.
@pankaj013 @vrdhn Experience dampens energy. Very few experienced people can hold beginner’s mind.
@iuditg @Jethalal_69 Brings "World's IT powerhouse" name down.
@louispereira I have been checking out typeshare to create kind of atomic essays and sharing as screenshots. Now I will use audiopen for that ;-)
@chris_illyrian @runaway_vol I think abt this a lot. I don’t believe in retirement. If we are doing physical work then yes we retire when we age and can’t work. But in information era? I hv framed my life like this now: • work only 3 days a week • rest of the time I coach, record podcasts, serve in…
@VinciJ6 @theliverdr Hope you didn’t laugh out loud from the last bench 🤣
@hasantoxr @AFFiNEOfficial Just checking out @AFFiNEOfficial . These features are interesting. Also seems to be easy to onboard and start using it without too much of learning curve and friction.
@oldbooksguy Didn't you post this? How do you reconcile these two tweets?
@hasantoxr @AFFiNEOfficial If a tool is going to store everything I take care of then the questions are - where is it storing all the docs (locally or on a cloud only) - what’s the file format? Otherwise i could lose years of data.
@jagthesav Thanks for sharing your story. > Over 90% blockage in two key arteries and narrowing in two others Did this happen when you were ready fit or did you become ironman runner etc after this incident?
@PLBompard I homeschool my boys. Plus we have 12 week plans for family (what to invest, where shud we visit …) So we ask: • what we did well • what could have gone better • what should we adjust We do this religiously every week.
@Mangalwadi_V We need Josephs and Daniels as much as Pauls and Peters. The Church emphasizes later and not the first.
@PLBompard Relax, Rest, Retro - how I spend Sundays. Mostly it is family time; we have family lunch together in a restaurant where we all have to talk to each other face to face (no phones). Post lunch, we watch a movie together at home. Then some rest. By 7, we conduct family retro.
@arvindhsundar @AtAceAkbar Keen to know how you go about doing this. I have faced this issue too
