@preetmungara @deedydas Why shud they cut the tree that would give them perpetual fruits?
@realmeson10 My dad is 75. He is more active than his kids and kids-in-laws. He doesn't need exercise.
Didn't someone say, "if you are not ashamed of your first release, you waited too long"? yea well, I'm pushed this over the weekend (amidst going for grocery shopping etc). It was lot of fun. I'm proud of the first release, but still a lot to do. Will keep me occupied.
I was toying with the idea, designing, writing mock code for a week. But I started seriously on Sat morning & by Sun evening, got the 1st part working, registered domain, & deployed. Been coding for 30 years. checkin to deployment has become crazy fast, esp personal projects
Tech stack: • @golang for backend (fiber as a framework) • @htmx_org for island interactivity • @tachyons_css for minimal & easy styling • @Namecheap for domain registration • @Cloudflare for 1st level security • @render for hosting • @gitlab for code repo
@vidmshariful i think everybody already voted; A looks great (btw: what's the font?)
@msahajwani @coolifyio This seems interesting Manish. Thanks for tweeting abt it. Have you (heard) used @dokku ? Wondering the differences between these two.
as you listen, you realize: • healthy food is expensive • our body can heal itself if you don't put junk into it • what we eat is probably the lead domino for health • our body is an amazing work of art + science
@sujithnambudiri @beastoftraal Combining your tweet with @thinking_slow : Probably this message has to be broken down into smaller pieces and spread. Cong (& opposition & concerned citizens) should know how to spread good ideas far and wide
@_zenman What I'm saying is: • we have all the downsides of democracy • no upsides of democracy (includes economic opportunities to freedom to question the govt)
@_zenman We are told what to study, what to wear, what to worship ... If not, goons take law and order into their hands. And those goons are celebrated and elevated into parliament. So I don't see the "freedom" that we supposed to have.
@_zenman Isn't it already in India, if not coming? • All your transactions & movements are monitored (are you aware of: ); • Govt told SC citizens don't have privacy • Our private property rights are questionable • Govt can ask for transparency but we can't
@_zenman @Wander4_1 @sanjayuvacha Haven't we used that argument over and over? What does an average servile Chinese lose or what have an average free Indian gained?
@nickgraynews 1 • colors are bright • your smiling face with camera gives a positive vibe with travel feeling which meets the theme
@manoj_216 @yogeeshgp @giigachaad @Akshat_World I homeschool my kids (); I think about what you talk about. Now it becomes intentional rather than kid doing it without really knowing about the importance and underlying theories of the phenomenon (working in a team as an ex) It becomes easy if there…
@vaibhaw_vipul That's why this year I am focusing on going deeper on ideas
@_zenman for me it is a matter of preference. • I refused to join TCS and likes when I came out of college, because they wanted to hold my certificates for 2 years; • I work for 3 days a week now because I "prefer" to spend time with my boys.
@_zenman In the matters of style, go with the flow; in the matter of principles, stay with your preferences
99% of the workforce are not working on top of AI; they need a good intro and entrance to gen AI It is the responsibility of the leaders to introduce AI tools into their companies. Don't tell your employees to use genAI; Show them how you use it.
@madversity @MSFTCopilot @perplexity_ai MSFT copilot's answer reads more like a politically correct essay; Perplexity's answer looks like the conversation we will have among deeply discussing friends. I like the UI of perplexity too.
@shyampsunder @shantanugoel and you can't copy paste from the password mgr. you have to manually type 😭
@maxverse Thanks for the offer Max. Since I already have a commonlog, I don't want to switch. But I am happy to test out your product, use as a real user, and give feedback
@pankaj013 @pbanavara Peter Thiel followed this from his philosophy of mimetic theory > he made employees responsible for one thing, and one thing only from
@spikeballchris @ShaanVP True at least in my case, though sometime I fear that I'll wake up and see that everything was just a dream. • Have an amazing wife • Two kids growing up fast • Working 3 days a week • Love my job, tuned to my skills / strengths • Mostly don't do what I don't like to do and…
@TheSumitDhamija @blacklotus_app Congrats Sumit
@OneAbhishekJain @paraschopra Try to be approximately correct:
@pankaj013 @DrSuneelDhand @sivers says in this TED talk: there are doctors in China who believe that it's their job to keep you healthy. So, any month you are healthy you pay them, and when you're sick you don't have to pay them because they failed at their job. They get rich when you're healthy, not…
@SathyaHQ Draft of an e-book I'm creating - Roadmap to CTO office:
@keepkwizing @david_perell want to become smart? write
@keepkwizing last name of the female candidate says that. isn't it so?
@_zenman If you are considering node, you could consider deno instead:
@jonisborn @TheAnnaGat Just yesterday was talking about 12 angry men to my kids. Amazing movie. Wish it was available more easily on the streaming platforms
@maxverse now it is getting interesting. may be you could consider changing the name - I thot it is to do with logging (another alternative for loggly / papertrail). this is a great use case. something like:
@ejames_c I don't know if you've come across "Influence Without Authority" () book. It helped me when I was an IC; of course it depends on lot of factors and only as an IC you can't change org completely (true even as a CXO)
@maxverse There seems to be ton of blogging platforms - even free and OSS ones. What is the difference you are bringing in? Who are your target market? (asking because this seems interesting)
@shikhilsharma Congrats. Best luck for the top spot. No doubt you folks will get it.
@mDeveshYadav @rohini_sgh @sardesairajdeep thought the same ;-)
@karanshukla27 I did that few weeks back. For a while I didn't get any pop-ups. I thought the issue is resolved. For the last two days it started again. I have no idea why @ICICI_Direct forces one to link digilocker with demat account @Icicidirectcare : any idea on this?
@nutanc zomato and swiggy unbundled coming near to your home soon.
@vijayanands How do you choose Vijay? I have never even considered IMDB / Rotten tomato reviews. May be I should consider that.
@keepkwizing I don't think BJP is losing. Not sure anyone thinks that way.
What I see now is "putting lipstick on the pig" of insecurity. If truly confident, there won't be any reasons to hide data, rely on fake-news, and so on.
Point is: Indians have always been self-confident. Were there mass of Indian population not confident? Of course, that happens in any large population.
If you watch interviews of Nehru, Indira, Vajpayee to foreign press, you wouldn't say they weren't self-confident. In fact, NAM can come out only of a self-confident nation (and a leader)
Gandhi and his followers were so confident that they don't have to shed blood of their oppressors to gain freedom and stand tall in their world. Same with Bose, who chose a different path but nevertheless confident.
