@poppacalypse @foliofed wanted to say the same thing;
@_zenman @Positive_Call Last week I gave this message in our church. Though it comes from a Christian perspective the message is relevant here I guess - Honor your parents so it goes well with you:
@CaptVenk Thank you Capt. Kids are already using audiopen and voicenotes. In addition, they also use ai in Notion.
@Valuable @Fishcleaner13 @Rainmaker1973 Interesting. Looking forward to this
@_zenman @TheFactFindr What options do citizens have? Wouldn't it become voluntary mandatory much like Aadhaar?
@b2amindset @the_martinet That's a very insightful comment. It is an alternate version of: If you don't care who gets the credit, you can get any job done.
@meeramohanty @PritishNandy @this_sanjeev Same with @Decathlon_India . You can't purchase anything without giving your mobile number. That too you have to type it for everyone to see on their self-checkout monitors. Having spent time shopping and a queue behind you, mostly you comply with whatever they ask you to.
@suchetadalal I create specific email id for each banks / services I use. When I get an email on that id from other services, I know the data is sold. Here are two I got on ICICI bank email id. One from stablemoney and another on Malta immigration offer. Our data is sold on the open…
@_zenman If we are taking that route, might well add, "not only about pandemic"
@nutanc Then the question to ask is: Why? Why they don't have the intent? Is it because the ambition in gone? Is it because they don't see a point of learning? Or do they see an easy way to making a living? Or do they see distracted people all around?
@IshwarBagga He is following the footsteps of David Heinemeier. David raises such issues against Apple / AWS before he launches one of their products. Typical of billionaire boys marketing their new product.
@udmxyz oh he did that long back ;-)
@nileshtrivedi @nutanc Interesting point Nilesh. Questions to ask are: - who owns the platform - who owns the question that was asked - who owns the answers given - who pays What I am thinking: - community owns the platform - software is OSS; there is no development only ops; there could be paying…
@atulsabnis Fantastic thread. Thanks for digging into this.
@chandrahas9 @nutanc @SwechaFSMI Happy to help anyway I can. We need this. If you are on fediverse, follow me here @jjude@cpn.jjude.com or @jjude@mastodon.world Let us build the new web
@nutanc You could run the instance; make it only about cloud telephony or about cloud or about cloud llms etc. Enable people to open communities only about certain topics. If needed, have moderators too. Probably this will lead to community-owned content hubs
@nutanc Move to fediverse. Own your content. Scrappers can still scrape your content. But at least you own the content. Use platform as distribution centers not as production centers or warehouses.
@DashToTheTop @nileshtrivedi @FrameworkPuter @adymitruk > figuring out the taxes and bureaucracy takes a lot of time that can instead be used to build better products or iterate Very true.
@sethi_jasraj @DearthOfSid Very relevant one ;-)
@pankaj013 @adcock_brett Indian entrepreneurs want to enjoy the fruits without really sowing seeds and watering. Workers in general and developers in specific imitate what they see:
@pankaj013 Been renewing car insurance for ages. First time I am told. May be incentives changed at their side ;-)
@pankaj013 In this episode () @pmarca says Regarding AI bots, everyone says there will be one chatgpt and it will rule them all. I disagree. Cost of running google for specific domains and fields were too high. That is not the case with LLMs. We might have a…
@_zenman When Tamilians fight for their language and against Hindi imposition, they were made villains and called anti-nationals. Glad that we kept the fight for our language going.
@DeepakNesss @raindrop_io Love it so far. Already read and created a publicly sharable folder:
@udmxyz True
Thank you @paulocoelho for writing "The Alchemist". So much impact on so many. Isn't it amazing both father and son can be inspired by the same book? Here is my son's video review of the book: Here is the blog post of the review
@_zenman @thisiskp_ @PaddleHQ If there is ever a next batch, hope to get in with @siteaudittools
@petergyang Audio Pen by @louispereira WordTune These are the two tools I use (and my kids) almost daily. Now my son doesn't type anything. He almost always grabs phone and dictate on AudioPen. I'm afraid, he has forgotten what it is to write.
@nutanc We just had this conversation in our lunch. Everything will offend someone. Yesterday read this piece: Everything requires a disclaimer - And have you watched this? Chief Apologises:
@ICICIBank_Care > We do not share such information with anybody Then care to explain how the specific email id that I use for ICICI bank is used by stablemoney for their email campaign?
I'm posting my notes here: If this interests you follow along.
@ChandanNotes Thank you Chandan. Would love to chat with you about what you are working on.
@karanshukla27 Sure. Let us meet sometime while you are still at Pkl
@louispereira Have a look at this Louis. It probably validates what you are building: And might even give you idea to niche down.
@tnvora Learning SEO and security by developing a site audit tool. I share my progress here:
If you are using cloudfare WAF don't use rate limiting middleware in your app. Rely on cloudfare WAF for rate limiting.
Implementing security headers (esp content security policy) has been a humbling experience. Stayed through the night to implement only to find it didn't work. And fresh look in the morning solved part of it. Still figuring out parts of CSP.
@keepkwizing The line between disorder and order lies in logistics. - Sun Tzu
@keepkwizing "when you go to war, you need to have both toilet paper and bullets at the right place at the right time. In other words, you must win through superior logistics" - Tom Peters
@keepkwizing You need strategy + tactics + logistics to achieve any goal. While strategy is given all the charming space, most strategy fails because they lack the other two.
Updated homepage with recently scanned pages. I use @pocketbase to store data. Scan your pages / sites for SEO & security.
@makowskid @jeffr_yyy Study how Adobe does. For every single Adobe product there is a long running OSS product. But people still buy Adobe products. Why? Because of 1 or all of reasons that David says above.
