@suchetadalal I create specific email id for each banks / services I use. When I get an email on that id from other services, I know the data is sold. Here are two I got on ICICI bank email id. One from stablemoney and another on Malta immigration offer. Our data is sold on the open…

@nutanc Then the question to ask is: Why? Why they don't have the intent? Is it because the ambition in gone? Is it because they don't see a point of learning? Or do they see an easy way to making a living? Or do they see distracted people all around?

@IshwarBagga He is following the footsteps of David Heinemeier. David raises such issues against Apple / AWS before he launches one of their products. Typical of billionaire boys marketing their new product.

@nileshtrivedi @nutanc Interesting point Nilesh. Questions to ask are: - who owns the platform - who owns the question that was asked - who owns the answers given - who pays What I am thinking: - community owns the platform - software is OSS; there is no development only ops; there could be paying…

@nutanc You could run the instance; make it only about cloud telephony or about cloud or about cloud llms etc. Enable people to open communities only about certain topics. If needed, have moderators too. Probably this will lead to community-owned content hubs

@nutanc Move to fediverse. Own your content. Scrappers can still scrape your content. But at least you own the content. Use platform as distribution centers not as production centers or warehouses.

@_zenman When Tamilians fight for their language and against Hindi imposition, they were made villains and called anti-nationals. Glad that we kept the fight for our language going.

@petergyang Audio Pen by @louispereira WordTune These are the two tools I use (and my kids) almost daily. Now my son doesn't type anything. He almost always grabs phone and dictate on AudioPen. I'm afraid, he has forgotten what it is to write.

@ICICIBank_Care > We do not share such information with anybody Then care to explain how the specific email id that I use for ICICI bank is used by stablemoney for their email campaign?

@_zenman @malpani Why I always own my content = publish on a platform I own (blog or a fediverse app). I use these social media sites as a distribution channels, not as my idea storage.

I use chatgpt as a sounding board. I asked this qstn: I have a svg icon with a 'style="fill:currentcolor"' . It is throwing up content security policy error "refused to apply inline style". How to rectify it? chatgpt gave me 3 options & 👇 solved.

If you get content-security-policy errors on browser console, check if they are from browser extensions I was thrown away by "jquery" since I wasn't using it. Spent hours tracking it with no success. Tested on another browser and didn't get any err. That's when it clicked

If you are using cloudfare WAF don't use rate limiting middleware in your app. Rely on cloudfare WAF for rate limiting.

Implementing security headers (esp content security policy) has been a humbling experience. Stayed through the night to implement only to find it didn't work. And fresh look in the morning solved part of it. Still figuring out parts of CSP.

@makowskid @jeffr_yyy Study how Adobe does. For every single Adobe product there is a long running OSS product. But people still buy Adobe products. Why? Because of 1 or all of reasons that David says above.
