When I look at a CV to interview, I look for 2 things: • what can this person do for me • what proofs this CV has for that Don’t list activities. Only mention results & proofs.

Opportunities are a constant flowing river. If you are prepared you can spit and pick up a cup or a bucket. If you are not, it keeps flowing. Just that you are a bystander watching others pick up and flourish.

Learning how to think is the best intellectual asset you can build for yourself. One such structured thinking framework is SODAS — situation, options, disadvantages, advantages, and solution. I have used it to many situations and I find it useful:

Another day. Another corruption unearthed. What will be done? Will media chase this until guilty punished? It will be forgotten in a day and moved to the next news. No one media house stands with a spine to stand for the people.

Your greatest opportunity for growth are in "approximately correct" zones. Answers to most questions in life are approximations. If being approximately correct is so useful, can we train ourselves to think in approximations? Here is what works for me:

Looks like X is becoming a right-wing platform & bluesky a left-wing platform

If you think independently, you will end up pissing off both wings of mobs

There was a time when we built things because it was fun. Not because we can make money. Money was secondary. Now everything is tuned to make money. More money. We need to do things because it is fun.

Homeschooling still needs constant attention to what kids do. Our default nature is to be lazy or drift away from our set goals. Since kids don’t have responsibilities it is more pronounced in them to drift. You need to nudge them constantly to keep in the right direction.

I am encouraging all my dev friends to use Most senior devs are like: can do exactly what I am asking to do in one iteration. If not they think it is a waste of time. Junior: they don’t mind experimenting. They see it as an improvement. Seniors have…

It is interesting that liberals wanted to move away from conservative values (religion esp) and then act surprised when society doesn't represent the values they grew up with.

Both my sons (15&13 yrs) have started using Their usage styles are so starkly different. Younger one uses it as a utility - he has an outcome in mind. If he gets it he moves on. If not he iterates. Elder one wants to understand every line generated.…

AWS seems expensive than Hetzner or DO What they sell is certainty and ability to contact their support team any time. Companies expect certainty. And nobody got fired for buying AWS

No. Citizens who supported this govt repeatedly and voted for this govt again and again in state and union elections should be given an award. Oh wait...this is that award. If these don't wake up even now, there are much more bigger awards coming in ...

This is all fine. But fingers should point to workers too. They are happy to jump over others and compromise rights if there will be promotions, onsite opportunities, and higher salaries. That is what these business folks tap onto

When we label people (right wing, left wing, Mexican, low-caste), we fail to understand people. What we label is only one dimension of people. Get to understand them by talking to them. All of us have fears, desires, hopes, and dreams. Don’t reduce people to genres.
