@bhavishsood How to define "complete" when everything is work in progress?
@rishabh_grg Congrats on the launch. Envious of you how quickly you launch products... Keep it that way
@serialharshit I use: • Obsidian (both on Android & Mac) • Wordtune • QuillBot • Grammarly Wrote about it here: What tools do you use?
@amitranjan • unreliable institutions: Police and courts are independent in US. Not so in India. this threatens investors how law will be interpreted and implemented • India has been in news for all the wrong reasons - support for Russia, demonetization etc even tho we managed covid well
@amitranjan Thank you for raising these points Amit. Some reasons: • social-political climate: in many states the religious riots are happening. it doesn't help economic activity, rather impedes; frightens investors • raising prices => raising salaries: no cost leverage to be in India
@coreyhainesco shouldn't you be happy you have revenue stream(s) to pay taxes?
@malpani yes
@mehta_parang What's the app?
@iamtomelliot Agree with you Tom. May be when I rewrite this tweet, I will modify it as: go for enough understanding to complete the goal rather than just accumulating knowledge just for the sake of it.
@mijustin @jamesvandyne Isn't like saying we should eliminate poverty before going to space?
@madversity This is what I wrote last week. We have placed too much emphasis on engineering at the expense of arts.
@bhavishsood I have signed up for Github Autopilot. Going to test it out. I am surprised by how fast and accurate AI is in content writing. I tried & If AI can generate art, soon it can generate code too
@bhavishsood Agree with your observation. It is interesting that startups find it difficult to scale coz of concurrency, but enterprises are ok. Why is that?
@carrd @gumroad @canva @figma @buffer @measureschool Today's low-code / no-code platforms have emerged so much that you can do so much without a line of code: • building landing pages • connecting analytics • analyzing analytics • driving traffic with content (image / text) • validating design • build a mobile app
@carrd @gumroad @canva @figma @buffer @measureschool With so much behind here, you can now build the app with code. Or depending on what type of app, you can build with Google AppSheet AppSheet gets you a mobile app that you can place in the hands of your users and data can be stored in Google cloud.
@carrd @gumroad @canva @figma @buffer @measureschool Figma helps you prototype an application with all interactions between screens and other elements. You can get feedback from your potential users by designing all the screens and screen elements in @figma . You can get an app (like) in your customers hand without any code
@carrd @gumroad @canva @figma @buffer @measureschool This analysis should tell you if your product is in demand, if the copy is good, is it gaining traction among the target market and so on. Say you are convinced about all of these. Next step is to build the product. You can start designing with @figma
@carrd @gumroad Once you created a landing page, you want to drive traffic. You can drive traffic via: • having newsletter • social media • ads For all of them, you have to make great images. @canva helps you create amazing images. It has so many different templates for you to choose.
@carrd is a great tool for landing pages Their free version itself is good enough to create amzing landing pages. Even their pro version is only $19 / year Yes per year. It is easy to use and they have all the features needed to make great landing pages.
Let us take a hypothetical lifecycle of a startup. How can you validate if there is a need in the market? • put up a landing page with a great copy • drive traffic with SEO / Ads • measure signups / conversations
@SMahashur @netshrink Thank you. Had that question. You cleared it.
@netshrink Passive MF = ETF; both fall in the same category. Right?
@TweetCopilot @nomad_ok @simonsinek If you want to grow your twitter audience, @TweetCopilot is a great tool. You should check it out.
@TweetCopilot @nomad_ok @simonsinek Using the tool, I was able to schedule about 30 tweets in about an hour (I was experimenting as well as using. May be next time it will be much less time) It is still under heavy development. So few features doesn't work. But I'll continue to use it.
@TweetCopilot @nomad_ok @simonsinek One improvement I would like is: it should pick from : • list of my followers • my twitter lists • store list of people to track & reply • saved earlier searches It is difficult to remember everyone's twitter handle and search
@TweetCopilot @nomad_ok @simonsinek Another feature I like is, "Engagement" You type in the name of a twitter user, it fetches their tweets and you can reply to them. Replies are sure shot way to increase your twitter account visibility. So this is a great feature. You can reply from within the tool too
@TweetCopilot @nomad_ok @simonsinek I hesitate to use the rephrased texts for my own personal accounts (because I think it is cheating; I'm old school) But this can give a head-start. You can modify the rephrased text or come up with your own based on the text. Either way it is a great aid for tweeting (a lot)
@TweetCopilot @nomad_ok Take the tweet by @simonsinek on leadership. Rephrased tweet text is meaningful and you can use it right away. I tried few others too. It really does this well. I am sure it will fail in certain cases. But at least in my experiments it was all ok.
@TweetCopilot @nomad_ok As soon as you pick up a topic, viral tweets in that category is populated. It loads fast. Probably the tool stores them in cache. Nice work. You can: • copy • rephrase I was surprised, how good "rephrase" option is.
@TweetCopilot @nomad_ok 1st thing I liked is the library of viral tweets as templates. For most who want to grow their twitter audience, one of the themes should click. Don't know if @nomad_ok will add more topics. If nothing else, you can try, • thread hooks • unpopular opinions
@amitranjan Will drones democratize war?
@nomad_ok @SimonHoiberg Doesn't it depend on what you already know and what is easier to debug? Heroku costs about $7 / m. That is cheaper and anxiety free to debug. I hv found serverless apps hard to debug.
@malpani The early Romans called it Festina Lente
@tibo_maker Heard lot abt the tool. Would love to check it out. 👋
@malpani @OmiiiZing Should give an idea abt our homeschooling experience There are other links too in those article
@SanketBhat11 You are not your customer. One thing I tell myself and team often.
Even though I am recovering fast, I don't think I will forget this incident in my life. If the sociopolitical situation continues, it won't be too long before it hits you too (whoever you are). #mentalhealth
It has caused me to stop my passion projects, mainly Gravitas WINS podcasting. I am simply not able to focus. Just doing the absolutely basics to get by the week.
For two days, I felt a mix of anger, fear, and helplessness. Every tall and fat person I saw reminded them. Even now, when I type I feel the same. Since the coming week is Easter, there is tremendous anxiety going on in our family's mind about going to church.
When I say thugs, it might conjure up an image of an uneducated and unemployed person. Not true. Those rowdies could've been my colleagues in IT industry.
Last Sunday, thugs from Bajrang Dal stormed into our church and disturbed the service. One of them even threatened my 13 year old son.
@malpani Society and Schools place too much emphasis on engineering. It has dulled younger minds into thinking in binary. We have to encourage them to read literature. Only then their imagination will grow, which is needed for entrepreneurship.
@shivamnow Unless they implement what they read it is of no use
@TheCoolestCool I have liked what Gary V calls as "cloud and dirt" concept. Big vision; get to work. Nothing in-between
