1. Technology advances Almost all technological advances invited strong counter reactions. Plato said this about writing: > they will cease to exercise memory because they rely on that which is written
@SejalSud Recession is when your neighbor loses his job. Depression is when you lose yours. Recovery is when the current govt loses theirs.
@YottaMindset @kachuxyz @Estranged @kelseyhightower Same argument can be extended: if you don’t run your own internet govts can block your domain / content as it often happens in many countries.
@CalmAchiever I switched to homeschooling 😜
@SejalSud One nation; one timezone ;-) Countries which have multi-timezone are planning to reduce them. Instead of going there we should find ways to modify our practices. Why should all offices and schools start at 8 (for ex)
@ranjithajeurkar What "enjoyable conversations" you enjoyed in this fine movie?
@rishabh_grg This is fantastically modern. Love it. Good job RG
@suru27 Will it be recorded Saurabh? Being Sunday, might be late after church.
@netsolutions Smaller cohorts + Discussion-style education = the most effective way to instill the values of the organization How do you teach your team about organizational values?
@netsolutions Also, I prefer to discuss rather than lecture when it comes to education. I ask them questions and help them come up with answers. Team members never forget the answers because thinking and answering boosts their self-esteem.
@netsolutions I prefer small cohorts over a town-hall meets. Small cohorts takes lot of time, but it helps participants to ask their doubts & questions. It is the most effective way to teach.
@netsolutions As a chief technology officer at Net Solutions, I think a lot about engineering quality software for our customers. Then, I spend a lot of time educating my team members about those engineering processes.
@Darrenmmatthews @SathyaHQ Easier to avoid being stupid than trying to be intelligent
@SathyaHQ @Darrenmmatthews @RichardKoch8020 @khemaridh @YellowVisuals Thanks Sathya. My only problem with 80/20 is often it forces you to focus on past & present cash cows and becoming oblivious to future stars. As long as you experiment with potential future stars, it is ok.
@rodaparicio_ @SathyaHQ @maxwellcdavis @dvassallo @kenneth0stanley Thanks Rod For me, 👇 how it looks like and how I operate.
@rodaparicio_ @SathyaHQ @maxwellcdavis @dvassallo If I may ask, How do you decide what to follow? Do you have any samples / answers? BTW, have you listened to "Greatness can't be planned" by @kenneth0stanley?
@rodaparicio_ @SathyaHQ @maxwellcdavis @dvassallo You won’t know. “Distraction” is how a treatment for high blood pressure becomes viagra. But not all distractions end up as commercial success. That’s why you need to follow “hypothesis -> experiment -> review” cycle in sprints (12 weeks / 90 days etc)
@malpani They are preparing for the Indian corporate - most Indian offices are like this: you get out of the chair only for lunch and loo. Even those times are measured
@SathyaHQ Beware of the game you play. Rules differ as per the game:
@jamesonpenn @karaswisher @TaylorLorenz There is nothing new under the sun - King Solomon
@SathyaHQ @maxwellcdavis @dvassallo Not looked into Small Bets by Daniel. But I am sure he doesn’t mean 100s of small and unfinished bets. Creators ship.
@SathyaHQ @maxwellcdavis @dvassallo May be I didn’t explain it properly. Sorry abt that. When I say focus, it is like the sprint for 90 days. You focus and finish whatever you aim to do. Move 3 things a kilometre rather than 100 things a centimetre. It is not tying oneself to one thing for 5 years.
@ZoharAtkins I pondered over this tension between ambition and contentment and arrived at this answer by looking into St. Paul’s life:
@SathyaHQ I always prepare before needed 😜 Newsletter is the only thing I write fresh every week. That I try to write over the weekend so there is no pressure. LI is mostly repackaging. It is easy to create 3-4 article in a single sitting.
@nirupamakotru Sure mam. Thanks for the invitation. Just looked at your latest photos (inaugurating coal facility). You still look the same as when I worked with you. Happy to see. Keep bringing cheers.
@nirupamakotru This is much more an achievement than clearing the 12th. Convey our best wishes.
@SathyaHQ Writing and scheduling next week's newsletter & LinkedIn articles.
@stalinkay @Arushi_2610 @NanouuSymeon I thought go will replace c / c++; then came Rust; now Carbon.
@pranesh I don’t blame you 🤣
@davegray Thanks Dave for introducing this toy. Here is my first AI Art
@SathyaHQ What would be interesting is what insights you gathered from these and how they changed your life.
@SathyaHQ Long back when@mobile apps came out @marcoarment commented that buying mobile apps is the new “going on shopping”. Now it seems it is buying creator products and courses.
@eagle_app Is the new version update (free if you already bought license of the previous version) or paid (pay again even if you have an earlier license)?
@thedivyareddyy Good luck Divya. Are you sharing code in any blog or git repo?
@rishabh_grg Chose to be ignorant of many things:
@Darrenmmatthews Do you have any structure to write about big decisions? I use SODAS ()
@madversity Could be applicable to Advani too.

@vivek_murthy @singhtechnical @MichaelPhelps @tferriss To accomplish everything you desire, you must pause, breathe, and recover before moving forward.
@vivek_murthy @singhtechnical Entrepreneurs aren't the only ones who benefit from pauses. Athletes also follow them. @MichaelPhelps said this to @tferriss in an interview: > for me to be able to do everything I need to do, I have to recover.
@vivek_murthy Relaxation provides life-sustaining oxygen to heart muscles. We can benefit greatly from aligning with nature. @singhtechnical practices breathing oxygen into his business by pausing. > I delegate to spare more time so that I can do the strategic thinking and planning.
Most of us are a mix of the three, sometimes at the same time. I would like to be a salt, if not all the time, at least most of the time. But if I want to be only a "salt", I wouldn't be on twitter 😜
Salt: Change makers They bring about change, even if it is tiny A pinch of salt can't change the world They can, however, change the world that knows them. Through their interactions, they can influence the world around them. They are ok if there is no spotlight on them.
Lotus: Signals virtue. They don't leave the troubled pond, but they also don't clean it up. They are just signaling to others that they are better than everyone else in the dirty pond. All of us are subtly tweeting, "look at me, I'm better."
Monk: Escapes the problem. Instead of blaming anyone, they just move on and try to find a suitable living situation. All of us need our own space in life, and we find ways to achieve it.
@lijithomas2020 So are you saying, I can host a party and boast around I cooked that delicious biryani?

Embrace the trends. You'll have tailwind. Fight them. You will fight the future.
Kerala's health minister, KK Shailaja said this about the state's readiness: I first read about the virus spreading on the Wuhan University… We started the control room on January 24. We sent a message to DMOs that ... chances are it would come to Kerala catching a flight…
