@podcastpage Career opportunities are discussed in your absence. If you want to attract them, you need gravitas. Follow along as I unpack elements of gravitas with industry leaders:
@PodcastMovement Just released 95th episode : - "Bonding with kids"
@JCRyle I challenged my church members to memorise 160 verses and I am teaching them how to. Divide each of Ten Commandments into three parts and for each learn 5 verses. Here is the first part: It’s in Tamil though.
@ReaderLals @quizzicalguy This difference is lost in the cacophonous religious slogans.
@AlisaCohn Gaining confidence in my experiments Few I've done: - homeschooling - building a flywheel of wealth, insights, networking & self-control Experiments have led to: realizing that I don't enjoy doing things with people - community building, coaching ...; I am good at doing things…
@_zenman @Makarand_S Democracy = by the people for the people Republic = governed by constitution (which grant rights) But democratic govts can modify the constitution. Our rights (not talking about minority rights) are already questioned in the courts; So expect changes in them
If you don’t want to invest in individual stocks then invest in one of these mutual funds Source:
@vishnu_agni @nileshtrivedi Absolutely Vishnu. I came in here to tweet the same reply. Make me also wonder if the other sides are even reported.
@amitranjan True Amit. Been in North for the past 15 years, and don't remember fog going into this far in Jan. So gloomy.
@AlisaCohn I interviewed a retd major general in the Indian army about culture. There are three aspects to culture: • psychological safety • success • stories Liking people comes automatically if these are there. More in this interview:
@NiyoSupport Thank you for constantly following up to solve the issue. Thank you
@_zenman I don’t mind being tied to it if I can use it 😀
@harshshah0904 @ramgopal_rao Greatness Guide, Book 2
@thedankoe @draftsapp (for quick capture of ideas; can dictate as I walk etc) → Audiopen (by @louispereira ) when I have coherent thought abt what to write; it serves as first draft → @wordtune to edit & correct → @WordPress for hosting → @SubstackInc to send newsletters
@oldbooksguy That's why I'm not reading any new books this year. Going to double down on these ideas
@louispereira done. Audiopen is a great utility that I use daily. Keep it going Louis
@_zenman Same with all craze; That is why I prefer to use well tested technologies. Having said that, all tech should be evaluated for context. Don't choose tech because a big player is using it or it is the fashion of the times.
@PodcastMovement From day 1 of @GravitasWins I have been with @TransistorFM The tool hides behind and lets you do what you want to do and get on with your business. Simple interface; effective functionality
@pankaj013 I use "drafts ios app" if it is all incoherent thoughts or short thoughts about multiple topics; If I have coherent thoughts and it is a first draft of the piece, then I use audiopen by @louispereira
@just1doctorwala @SukumarMehta1 Interesting conversation. "You know why people don't like liberals? Cause they lose. If liberals are so ... smart, how come they lose so god damn always?"
@Aparna_981 2. Have a commonplace note (I use twitter & ) to think aloud (by writing). So often surprised with gap of what I thot I knew and what I discover by writing.
@Aparna_981 Thanks for your note. 2 comments on your practice, as I do something similar 1. consume everything from a person you respect (books, videos etc; for me it is Alan Weiss, Derek Sivers, St. Paul ...); then for each topic, ask how would that person think.
@Aparna_981 Another one is from "opposable mind" from @RogerLMartin Integrated thinking - ability to face the tension of opposing ideas and instead of choosing one at the expense of the other, generate a creative resolution for the tension. Served me so well.
@Aparna_981 Almost similar. The third is "strong ideas, loosely held". At any given point in time, I have formed strong ideas since I've thought about them a lot and researched; but I am ok to change them as new evidence comes in or further research shows differently.
@Aparna_981 This is the framework I've been following exactly for this reason. When you consume, you understand 10% of the topic; when you produce, you increase it. Still you could learn only from 1 lens. When you engage with others, you learn from other lenses
Unfortunately we didn't take screenshots of the tool when error occurred.
@_zenman Our world has turned truly VUCA. In that world, you can plan for long time but have to implement for a quarter, review, and adjust.
@Sharnarthee @KapilChopra72 @DGCAIndia @JM_Scindia That’s because passengers pay airlines & can only ask questions to them. It is the airlines (individually & collectively via their associations) question the govt. But they are busy dressing up as god figures to please masters. Too much to expect.
@vikrantdessai @SirKazamJeevi Good question 😀 May the HR has to send a longer email showing all of these and asking the employee to get out.
@nateliason Rightly said. Although technology will be part of the loneliness solution, it’s not the ultimate solution. If we rely solely on technology, we will make it worse.
@TheAnnaGat @interintellect_ This is interesting. Thanks for sharing
@darshansharma_ I tried AT; I am aware of the features; only from a feature set perspective it is good (probably great).
@arvindhsundar Thanks Arvindh. I also have an obsidian directory full of these collections; But twitter helps me to put them out and test. Writing tweets help me experiment some copy too. Even if none reads / engages, this exercise itself helps me to sharpen the ideas
My elder son has written a detailed travelogue of our trip here:
@Darrenmmatthews What tools you use @Darrenmmatthews ?
@appflowy Thank you. Looking forward to your ios & cloud features. Seems interesting
@darshansharma_ I did. It has too steep a learning curve. Are you using it? Also didn’t know you can publish with any type
