I don't know if @maxpashman has a kid born on Feb 29th. For the other boy, we celebrate 1 day every year. For the boy born on 29th, we have to celebrate big every 4 years. That means "very" expensive. + other years, have to celebrate both on 28th & 1st. Rational # Reality

“a nation with a low birth rate shall be periodically chastened by some more virile and fertile group.” From: "The Lessons of History" by Will Durant. We are seeing this playing out in India (south vs north) We don’t learn from history and we pay the price.

Pity that even productivity apps like @todoist increase friction. Todoist emails used to list out the tasks for the day. At a glance, I would know the tasks for the day. Now you've to open the app to know the tasks. First I started ignoring these emails. Now slowly moving out

Clean code is a sign of too much free time. At any time, working code is always messy. Same is true for your note taking system. If you are a busy working professional, it is going to be messy. Probably notes distributed in multiple apps too. Get used to it. #pkm

From “Good Strategy, Bad Strategy” Lot to think about how to identify what really matters in a tech change. Seems so relevant with all hype abt GenAI.

Question for product people (PMs & CEOs): Do you use your product much like @elonmusk using Twitter? In the early days of iPhone Steve Jobs used not apps that came up on App Store. SJ had a pulse on how the product ecosystem was emerging. I feel the same with Elon.

I listen to YouTube videos & take notes. Often, I don't know if a video is insightful until I have listened to it. Time-waste. Can I use GenAI to summarize a video & listen if summary is interesting? Tried few videos. It works. Going to build for self. #buildinpublic

> A million little conversations never happen This is across our day. At dinning table with kids, colleagues, waiting in line … We are losing million little chances to be social as we are created to be. We choose otherwise and we reap the consequences.
